I look forward to the storytelling assignments this semester. I took a mythology class at OCCC, and had similar assignments and it made me appreciate the stories we read in new ways. Retelling a story can bring to light easy to miss details, as well as giving an older story a breath of fresh air.
I am equally looking forward to reading the selection of Indian literature and will be on the lookout for anything that might be familiar with my previous mythology class. I hope I get a chance to learn and find new ways to appreciate an unfamiliar culture.
